On October 4th 2016, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1915 / QD-TTg to establish  Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Authority.

Dungquat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Authority is a state administrative body under the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee. DEZA’s function is to assist the People’s Committee in comprehensively managing, administrating the investment and development activities in Dungquat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks. Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Authority has a juridical status, possesses an official seal engraved with the national emblem, and has an operating budget annually allocated by the State.

The Authority performs the tasks and powers prescribed in the  Decree No. 118/2015 / ND-CP of  Government on November 12th 2015 elaborating and providing guidelines for some Articles of the Law on Investment on application, control, announcement of conditions for investment; Articles 37 and 38 of the Decree No. 29/2008 / ND-CP of Government  on March 14th  2008 Issuing regulations on industrial zones, export processing zones and economic zones and Clause 21, Article 1 of the Decree No. 164/2013 / ND-CP of Government on January 12th  2013 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Government’s Decree No. 29/2008/ND-CP and other relevant legal documents.

Dungquat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Authority is headed by a Chairman and three Vice Chairmen. Organization of the Authority includes: Office; Administrative Units; Representative offices; Puplic Service Units.
